Operations Leader

We are looking for a new team member to lead our operational excellence.

Do you want to support positive change in the world, and especially in SE Europe?

Would you like to join a small not-for-profit that is embarking on a growth phase, and help us to be really excellent in how we operate?

This role will focus on our financial management, accounting processes, grant management and reporting, project management, compliance and business reporting. Are you excellent in these essential areas of work?

It would be helpful if you also have some skills and experience in these areas:

  • Setting up and streamlining the operational systems of small organisations
  • Monitoring and evaluation of projects and programmes
  • Funding applications

We are also interested to know if you have skills or like to contribute to:

  • Event management
  • Communications
  • Social media

Excellent English and Slovenian is required.

We are looking for someone to join our team in Slovenia from the beginning of 2025. It would be helpful if you are based around Maribor – but we are also flexible on location. You should be comfortable working from home and/or a co-working space, using digital communications and meet-ups to communicate with other team members.

We strive to take care of our team, and to offer great remuneration and terms of employment. Salary expectations will be discussed transparently with shortlisted applicants. We expect that initially this will be a 2-year fixed-term position, with ample opportunity to help attract funding to extend and expand this work.
