The Accelerating Community Energy in the Danube Region Conference will:
- Bring together leaders who are actively working in the field of energy communities/community energy – including experts and practitioners from NGOs, energy agencies, public authorities, and central government.
- Provide space for exchange on community energy development in the Danube Region.
- Present the main outcomes of the Danube Energy Communities Accelerator (DECA) project
The DECA project has brought together project partners from Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Romania, Montenegro, Hungary, Slovakia and Austria, who have been working together to support the development of citizen-led energy initiatives in the region.
Participants will learn about the developed training programme and advisory toolkit, as well as the Danube Community Energy Acceleration Strategy that aims at scaling support for citizen-led energy initiatives in the region.
The programme includes discussion of practical examples of implementation from across the participating countries, and lessons learned that can help to inspire and expand support for future citizen-led energy action.
