Korimako is seeking a Community Advisor to join our team in Slovenia and support community change in south-east Europe.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about helping communities to achieve the changes that are really needed to create a thriving future for all.
You are excited by the potential for transformational community-led initiatives in Slovenia and Europe, and impatient with the status quo. Ideally you bring a wealth of experience in creating, shaping and supporting innovative community actions.
You are comfortable and familiar working with citizen-groups, NGOs, institutions and government organisations to build partnerships and new initiatives. We will expect you to engage, build capacities, initiatives and partnerships with all.

Ideal Experience
3+ years of relevant professional experience in community action and change
initiatives, including:
- Leading complex innovation and community projects that involve multiple stakeholders.
- Activating, developing, and coordinating multidisciplinary teams and partnerships
- Developing new ideas and bringing them to life with strong partnerships and suitable resources
- Community energy
- Community mobility

- circular economy and/or housing
- Participatory democracy and governance
- Community and public sector innovation practices and approaches

What you will do
A key part of your role will be planning and delivering tailored advice, coaching, capacity development and trainings on community initiatives, change enablers and innovation practices.
Knowledge / Skills Needed
- Community-led development approaches & activation
- Community governance, democracy and/or financing
- Training, coaching and/or facilitation
- Innovation methodologies/practices
- Project and program development and management
- Fluency and excellent communication skills in English and Slovenian.
- Ability to work in Croatian an advantage
