Supporting citizens to create fair, collaborative and clean energy actions across Slovenia and Southeast Europe.
The Danube Energy Communities Accelerator (DECA) project brings together 12 organisations from the wider Danube region of SE Europe, to collaborate on developing support for community energy action across the region.
The Danube Energy Communities Accelerator (DECA) empowers citizens and communities across the Danube Region to lead the clean energy transition. By developing shared training programmes and toolkits, and regional acceleration hubs, DECA aims to strengthen community-owned and managed energy initiatives that boost local resilience, energy independence, and common prosperity. Through collaboration among partners from nine countries, the project builds a regional alliance for scaling community energy actions.
Korimako takes a leading role in the development of cross-cutting training programmes, coaching toolkit, and forward strategy. We lead community coaching, capacity building and advice on community energy action in Slovenia. We are also developing a model for scaling support for community energy in Slovenia, including a focus on collective investment models.
Korimako co-designed the DECA project and secured the project funding working closely with the lead project partner e-Zavod.
